MEET OUR MANAGERS
 
Rob Graham, CVT – Practice ManagerRob2009
Rob has worked in the veterinary medicine industry for over 25 years. He started cleaning cages at an emergency clinic when he was 15 years old. He also worked as a veterinary technician in several private practices here in the valley and even worked at a neurological center operating a CT scanner and assisting with various neurological work-ups. He became certified as a veterinary technician during this time frame. Rob made the transition from technician to practice manager and has been doing this for the past 12 years. Rob and his wife live in Northwest Phoenix and have raised 6 children between the two of them. They have 1 dog, 1 cat, a snake, and some fish. As a family they enjoy camping, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors.
Rob joined the Animal Health Services team in March 2006, bringing with him professionalism, excellent customer service, and great management techniques. Gina Monell – Assistant ManagerGinaM     

 Gina started in the animal health industry in 1985, and joined the Animal Health Services team in 1998. She thinks our clients and their pets are the best, and it gives her great joy to build bonds with them. Gina says it feels like coming to fun rather than to work. Gina and her husband share three children, 3 grandchildren (so far), 2 dogs “Hannah” and “Quigley”, a parrot named “Groucho”, and numerous cows and chickens. In her spare time she likes to enjoy her pets, and likes to go camping.     

       


 Nikki Binns – Assistant ManagerNikkiB    

Nikki has worked in the veterinary medicine industry for over 10 years, and enjoys working in all areas of the hospital. She joined the Animal Health Services team in March of 2005. Originally from California, she moved to Arizona with her family in 2002.Nikki and her husband live in Desert Hills, and have 2 children. They have quite a small farm at home with 3 dogs, 3 cats, 4 horses, 3 goats, a chicken, and some fish. As a family they enjoy camping, fishing, horse back riding, and softball.    


    

Sue Wilkerson, CVT, Urgent & Critical Care Manager  
“Healing Begins Here.”
 
With over 33 years of experience as an emergency and critical care technician, it’s not surprising that Sue’s motto is “Healing Begins Here.” And it does.
Sue is a Certified Veterinary Technican (CVT), a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society and has previously developed a Blood Banking Program. She shows a special interest in feline behavior and intensive care nutrition. Always ready to teach, Sue has shared her decades of knowledge while being a Veterinary Technican instructor and enjoys educating Veterinary Technicians in emergency skills on a daily basis.
Self- proclaimed “adrenaline junky,” Sue feels this is why she has worked in emergency for so very long.
While not saving pets, Sue enjoys kicking back in the tall pines of Heber, AZ and playing golf. She provides a home for 1 Leopard Tortoise, 1 Desert Tortoise, 2 box turles- 4 cats and one ADORABLE Yorkie, “Stella.”
Animal Health Services is proud to have the experience, compassion and care that Sue exhibits in the AHS family. We value what she brings to our facility.
  


 
 Melanie S. Haber – Marketing Director     

Melanie joined Animal Health Services in November of 2008. Melanie has worked in the veterinary field since 1993 in various office, technical, administrative, and practice management positions. Her passion for the business shows in her studies having graduated summa cum laude in Business Administration & Management and recently completed a second degree focusing on marketing. She also attended Veterinary Mangement Development School at the American Animal Hospital Association in Denver, Co; trained under Dr. Ron Whitford in Client Education, Sales & Marketing; and attended various Veterinary Practice Management Seminars with Dr. Steven Garner in League City, TX.     

Knowing that helping the community is the key to local success, Melanie is the liason for AHS on the Cave Creek Merchants Chamber of Commerce, Carefree/Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce and organizes the pet activites for the citywide Cave Creek Wicked Event. Melanie always makes sure Animal Health Services supports as many citywide events as possible whether it be an info booth at the Cave Creek Balloon Festival or building award winning floats for the Fiesta Days Parade. 2009 winner     2011 winner 

Originally from Indiana, she moved to Cave Creek, Arizona with her husband and 3 children after traveling the world and having lived in such places as Taiwan and Qatar.
