Michelle Knowles-Certified Pet Aesthetician, Spa Director
Michelle has apprenticed, volunteered, managed, owned, and worked in salons, kennels, zoos, and veterinary hospitals across the country. A professional pet stylist with 20 years in the field, Michelle has extensive experience with fear and trauma recovery, elderly pet care, and specializes in managing allergic and dermatological disorders. She is certified by the National Dog Groomers Association of America and Iv San Bernard School in Italy. Michelle is also a consultant for IV San Bernard in the North American Region.
Penny Youngerman-Pet Stylist
Penny joined Animal Health Services in August 2009 having met the strict criteria to work in Tender Paw Day Spa.
Penny is a graduate of Kennelwood Academy in Chesterfield, Missouri and brings 10 years of professional experience to our facility. Penny is known for her patience and kindness toward her grooming pets. She provides a comforting experience for each individual pet.
Penny also managed a large grooming, boarding & daycare facility in Scottsdale before moving to the Anthem area. She moved to Arizona in 2003 with her husband, 2 children and 5 dogs, 1 cat, 1 amazon parrot, and her pet rat named “Rosie.”
She enjoys horseback riding, mountain biking with her Great Dane “Chilly” and many other outdoor family activities. Having grown up on a farm she is always ready for an invitation to horseback ride as she misses her horses a lot.
